Jo Del Rider

Jo Del Rider, 58, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born on May 16, 1968, in Sallisaw to Norma Lynn (Philpot) Gillis and Charles Robert Gillis.

Jo spent much of her life working in and around the Sallisaw community. Over the years, she worked at Simple Simon's, Aviagen, and several local convenience stores, where she became a familiar face to many throughout the area.

Survivors are two daughters, Bodhi Rider of Sallisaw, OK and Hannah Rider of Sallisaw, OK; four sons, Timothy McDaniel and Sabina of Springdale, AR, Paul McDaniel and Casey of Pea Ridge, AR, Dakota Rider and Brittney of Sallisaw, OK and Wyatt Rider of Muldrow, OK; five grandchildren, Jaxton, Charley, Maren, Milo and Edie; mother, Norma Gillis of Sallisaw, OK; two sisters, DeeAnna Macdonald of Knoxville, TN and Bobbi Wilson of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
