Jimmy Dwayne Thomas

Jimmy Dwayne Thomas, 64, of Vian, Oklahoma passed away on January 25, 2026 in Vian. He was born February 2, 1961 in Poteau, Oklahoma to JC and Ivy Thomas and grew up in Keota, Oklahoma. He spent his childhood team roping, was involved in FFA and eventually attended OSU-Okmulgee. Jimmy married Paula McClure on November 10, 1984 in Poteau. They eventually settled in Vian where they raised animals and a few kids. Of all of Jimmy’s hobbies and adventures, time spent with his grandchildren was what he cherished most.

Survivors are his wife of 41 years, Paula of the home; one daughter, Krista Dawn Boston of Tahlequah, OK; two sons, Donnie Ray Huggins of Vian, OK and Jimmy Dwayne Thomas and Brittany, of Pocola, OK; siblings, RC Thomas of Keota, OK, Carolyn Sue Williams and Junior, of Keota, OK, and Deborah Coker and Billy, of Arkoma, OK; grandchildren, Conner, Briar, Ella, Mason, Gunner, and Jaxson; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Rylan; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends that he loved dearly.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, JR Thomas, Terry Glen Thomas and Baby Boy Thomas; five sisters, Sharon Kay Hays, Anna Lyndsey, Billie Dean Reynolds, Faye Stephens and Joyce Begger; one niece, Courtney Thomas; two great nieces, Grace Blaylock and Kassie Kendrick; and two great nephews, Kolby Kendrick and Justin Reynolds.

Viewing will be 2 - 8 PM Wednesday and 2 - 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
