Funeral Service for Jessie Mae (Soap) Thomas, 82, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Rocky Point Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on March 18, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Ollie (England) Soap and Jess Soap and passed away on May 21, 2024 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.  She was married to Jimmy Dale Thomas on April 24, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2017. She was a sales clerk at the Indian Store and of the Christian Faith. She loved her fur babies, OU Football and Softball, the Kansas City Chiefs, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors are one daughter, Lynn Thomas of Sallisaw, OK; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Vann, Archer Vann and Mae Jean Vann, all of Stilwell, OK; one sister, Ollie Jean Brown of Stilwell, OK; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dale Thomas; parents, Jess and Ollie Soap; one son, Jimmy Thomas; two sisters, Jennie Soap and Nancy Soap; one brother, J.B. Soap; and adopted daughter, Davanna Hess.

Active Pallbearers will be Mitch Vann, Dewayne Brown, Dewayne Thomas, Don Adams, Dennis Brown, Alvie Workman and Archer Vann. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Soap and her nephews. 

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
