Funeral services for Jerry "Tommy" Taylor, age 87, of Sallisaw, Oklahomawill be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, with burial following at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Born on November 19, 1938, in Sallisaw to Grace Helen (Brunk) Taylor and Clarence Taylor, Tommy passed away on July 1, 2026, in Sallisaw. A devoted husband, he shared his life with Sandra after their marriage in 1989. Tommy proudly owned Sallisaw Muffler for 38 years and spent six years working part-time at Richy's Pawn Shop. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves, exemplifying dedication to his community and country.
Tommy is lovingly remembered by his wife, Saundra, daughter Macinda Rudick and her husband Keith, grandsons Josten Fargo, Casey Jacks and his wife Kenzie, Dylan Rudick, Ryan Rudick, Zach Rudick and his wife Brittani, and niece Sandra Dee Keith. His memory lives on through numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jerrod Essex Rudick, brother Bobby Taylor, and cousin Vera Farmer.
The pallbearers honoring Tommy include Jim Brown, Jim Palmer, Bobby Jack Merrill, Josten Fargo, Chad Buckmaster, and Charles Philpot. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Rudick, Eddie Honeycutt, Dylan Rudick, and Zack Brown.
Viewing will take place from noon to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
