Jerry Johnson

Funeral Service for Jerry Johnson, 84, of Vian, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Jerry was born on July 5, 1942, in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, to Edna Mae (Warren) Johnson and Perry Franklin Johnson. He passed away on October 30, 2026, in Vian, Oklahoma. On December 17, 1960, he married Dixie (Risley) Johnson in Vian, Oklahoma, and together they built a life centered around faith and family. Jerry worked as a sheet metal worker and was a devoted member of the Church of Christ.

Jerry was a man of strong faith who was actively involved in his church, where he enjoyed serving as a teacher. He was also an ordained minister, and his faith played an important role throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially riding horses and tending to his cattle, although mowing the lawn was one chore he could gladly do without. Above all, Jerry loved his family and took great pride in supporting his children and grandchildren, faithfully attending their activities and cheering them on throughout the years. His love for his family, dedication to his church, and steady presence in the lives of those around him will be fondly remembered.

Survivors are his wife, Dixie Johnson of the home; one daughter, Susan Ford and John of Vian, OK; one son, Kenneth Johnson of Vian, OK; two grandchildren, Ashley Garrison and Sean of Gore, OK, and Garrett Ford and Cassidy of Vian, OK; five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rory Garrison, and Sloan, Harris, and Dane Ford; one sister, Glenda Young of Vian, OK; two brothers, Ray Johnson and Elsie of Vian, OK, and David Johnson of Vian, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Active Pallbearers will be Levi Risley, Gill Risley, Robert Young, Irvin Barnes, Forster Barnes, and Kenneth Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Westside Church of Christ.

Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday and 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
