Jeffrey Charles Knoke

Jeffrey Charles Knoke, a beloved father, devoted husband, and cherished community member, was born on May 2, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away on August 6, 2026, at his home in Oologah, Oklahoma. His journey through life was marked by hard work, kindness, humor, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Jeff was a treasured son of the late Donald and Shirley Knoke of Sallisaw. He was predeceased by his wife, Debbie Knoke, with whom he shared nearly 25 years. They married on July 15, 1989, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where their love story began while Debbie was a waitress. Together, they found joy in traveling, often seeking the tranquility of the Ruidoso Mountains in New Mexico. They eventually settled in Inola, Oklahoma, where they began to raise their family.

A proud alumnus of Sallisaw High School's Class of 1979, Jeff played on the Sallisaw Black Diamonds basketball team. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with his car and anything he could get his hands on. His mother kept many of his tinkering projects and would proudly share them with anyone she could. His family became members of the First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw in 1969, where his father served as an elder. After high school, Jeff pursued higher education at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. His professional life was dedicated to the field of construction, where he thrived as a Construction Superintendent. Jeff spent nearly 30 years at Flintco, where he was celebrated for his dedication and excellence, overseeing numerous multi-million dollar projects, including St. Simeons Senior Community, Booker T. Washington High School, and The BOK Center. His unwavering commitment to safety earned him multiple OSHA safety awards throughout his career.

Jeff was a man of many passions. An avid fan of OU Football (he never missed watching a game on T.V. and attended games in Norman often), he was also a champion supporter of his sons' various school activities throughout the years. He found solace in the great outdoors, often camping, fishing, and enjoying the stillness of the lake. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Jeff had an innate ability to lighten any mood with a well-timed joke. His gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered, making all feel welcome.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Kurtis of Oologah and Jeffrey Michael, along with his daughter-in-law, Angellica Knoke of Norman. Jeff's legacy is further carried on by his step-children, Cassidy Alessandra of Reno, NV and Bill McClain of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his brother Russell and sister-in-law Debbie Knoke, and their sons, Tyler and wife Melora Knoke, and Max Knoke, all of Sallisaw. Jeff was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a beloved uncle to two great nephews and one great niece.

A memorial service honoring Jeff’s life and legacy will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Jeff’s honor.

Jeff Knoke's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the power of hard work, kindness, laughter, and love, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
