He was born on January 9, 1944 in Leflore County, Oklahoma to James Ivy and passed away on January 28, 2021 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was married to Patricia Ann Ivy on January 16, 1960 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2015. He was a property preservationist.

Survivors are:

one daughter: Natalie Carson of Poteau, OK;

one son: John Ivy of Sallisaw, OK;

2 grandchildren;

several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Ivy.
