It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Horn, a beloved husband and friend, who left us, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication. He was born on February 23, 1970 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Carol Ann (Littlepage) Jameson and Harold Warren Horn and passed away on August 3, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Sheila (Sevenstar) Horn on January 18, 2003 in Bellefonte, Oklahoma.
James was a devoted husband and family man whose greatest joy was spending time with those he loved. His career as a truck driver took him on many journeys, but no trip was more important than the ones that brought him home. He showed his love not just in words, but in countless acts of service -- whether it was paying it forward to buy a stranger's food at a truck stop or preparing Sheila's coffee for the next day, James expressed his care through thoughtful actions.
A man of great faith, James found strength and joy in the Lord, especially in his later years. His passion extended beyond his family and faith to a special love for his Dodge Ram, affectionately named, "The Beast." Though he often found himself stuck in the mud, James never lost patience or humor, embodying a spirit of perseverance and joy in the simple pleasures of life.
James' warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, especially children, whom he often delighted with his gentle nature and genuine care. His presence was a blessing, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply and a community that will remember his kindness and strength. Rest in peace, James -- your journey may have ended, but the love and joy you gave us will endure forever.
