James Albert Brodhagen

James Albert Brodhagen, age 85, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on September 18, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, James was the beloved son of Edna (Edgerton) Brodhagen and Leonard A. Brodhagen.

He dedicated 35 years of his career to pharmaceutical manufacturing with Upjohn, demonstrating commitment and professionalism throughout his tenure. On July 20, 1972, James married Sue (Dubois) Brodhagen in Oshtemo, Michigan, sharing many cherished years together.

James is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue; his daughter, Stephanie Eastwood and Scott of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and his son, Gary Brodhagen of Vicksburg, Michigan. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren—Brittany, Christopher, Tanner, Ashley, Robert, Travis, Kiersha, and Blake Ann—as well as several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who hold his memory dear.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ty Warren Brodhagen; his parents; his brother, Gene Brodhagen; and his sister, Suzanne Paddock.

A cremation service has been arranged under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. The family expresses their gratitude for the support and condolences offered during this time.
