Houston "Jeg" Tehee, Jr.

Funeral Service for Houston "Jeg" Tehee, Jr., 70, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Flute Springs Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Houston was born on April 22, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Louella Mae (Locust) Tehee and Houston Tehee, Sr. and passed away on October 2, 2026, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He married Christine (Flute) Tehee on August 12, 1978, in Flute Springs, Oklahoma.

Houston worked at Whirlpool for 34 years as a factory worker. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Keetowah Tribe. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, coon hunting, thrifting, and buying and selling goods.

Survivors include his wife, Christine of the home; one daughter, Makisha Tehee Callahan and Donald of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Justin Scrapper of Sallisaw, OK; 10 grandchildren, Houston and wife Adriana Tehee, Roberto Martinez, Jr., Jesus Martinez, Cale Pettit, Destiny Nicole Thomason, Luke Callahan, Samuel Callahan, Shane Phillips, Dustin James Newman, and Sean Alex Scrapper; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maudeen Vann of Roland, OK and Faye Tehee of Sallisaw, OK; one brother, Herman Tehee of Tahlequah, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Susan Morris; and two brothers, Larry Tehee and Frank Tehee.

Active Pallbearers will be Sean Alex Newman, Houston Thomas Tehee, Forrest Flute, Joe Pettit, Shane Phillips, and Samuel Flute.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Callahan, Justin Scrapper, Dustin Newman, and Sonny Cooksey.

Viewing will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
