Helen Joyce (Gann) Phelan

Graveside Service for Helen Joyce (Gann) Phelan, 79, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Liberty Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Helen was born on January 15, 1946 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Jess and Jenny (Stimson) Gann and passed away on July 12, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to William Phelan on April 26, 1964 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2019. Helen worked at Baldor Electric in Fort Smith, Arkansas for over 40 years, retiring in 2013. She loved camping, fishing, eating out with her sons and brothers, sitting under her carport watching birds and wildlife, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors are three sons, Darrell Phelan and Lisa of Muldrow, OK, Roger Phelan of Grove, OK, and Michael Phelan and Lola Sevenstar of Muldrow, OK; four grandchildren, Darin Phelan and Courtney of Muldrow, OK, Brent Gibbons and Taylor of Barling, AR, Tanner Phelan and Jamie of Tahlequah, OK, and Megan Phelan and Manuel Benavides of Greenwood, AR; 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Gary Gann and Judy of Muldrow, OK, Vic Gann of Muldrow, OK, Danny Gann and Cynthia of Sallisaw, OK, David Gann and Leona of Muldrow, OK, and Randy Gann and Brenda Nutter Day of Liberty, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Jimmy Paul Gann and Harlan James Gann, Sr.

Viewing will be 1 - 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
