It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heather (Wheeler) Garrison, age 49, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, who departed this life on November 6, 2024, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on March 20, 1975, in Fort Smith, she was the beloved daughter of Rebecca Ann (Johnson) Cooper and Herman Ray Wheeler. Heather found joy and love on August 25, 2020, when she married her devoted husband, Charles Garrison, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Heather was a nurturing homemaker, whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She leaves behind cherished memories as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Heather is survived by her husband, Charles, and her two daughters, Brooklyn Wheeler of Fort Smith, AR, and Heather Garrison of Gore, OK. She was the proud mother of five sons: Michael Chandler of Lavaca, AR; Jamie Sisson of Van Buren, AR; Logan Wheeler and Lyndsey of Prairie Grove, AR; Trevor Wheeler and McKensie of Barling, AR; and Sean Garrison and Ashley of Gore, OK. Heather's legacy also continues through the love of her 19 grandchildren.
Family meant everything to Heather. She will be deeply missed by her father, Herman Wheeler of Roland, OK, and her three sisters, Mandy Walker and Jason Peters of Van Buren, AR; Stacy Cowan and Kevin of Roland, OK; and Sarah Rogers and Chance Tole of Muldrow, OK. She is also remembered fondly by numerous other relatives and friends whose lives she touched.
Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca; her daughter, Ocean MacKenzie; her brother, Michael Cooper; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Walker.
A celebration of Heather’s life will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, followed by a burial service at Memory Garden Cemetery. Active pallbearers include her loving family members and friends: Trevor Wheeler, Logan Wheeler, Jamie Sisson, Michael Chandler, Damon Moore, Justice Walker, and Sean Garrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Justus Sisson and Nikolan Vest.
Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, where the family will greet 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in celebrating Heather's beautiful spirit and the profound impact she had on all who knew her. She will remain forever in our hearts.
