Gordon "Scott" Barnett of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, left this earthly home on April 22, 2026.

He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 26, 1969 to Bobbie Osborne Barnett and Jimmy Ray Barnett.

He received his teaching degree from NSU - Tahlequah, Oklahoma and taught Physical Science. He later worked in the food and retail business.

His hobbies were cooking, including trying new weird recipes, reading, and video games. He loved his precious kitty cats. He was especially good at tormenting his brother and baby sister in their younger years. They could pick on each other but no one else better try it.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Jessi Barnett of Claremore, OK; one brother, Kenny Barnett and Laurel of Tulsa, OK; one baby sister, Kristle Walden and Joe Roberts of Vian, OK; and his mother, Bobbie Sneed of Vian, OK; two nephews, Jason Barnett and Gabby of Drumwright, OK and Chase Walden of Vian, OK; two nieces, Amber Casas of Tulsa, OK and Bailey Walden of Vian, OK; and his aunts and uncles: Joe and Peggy Barnett of Bixby, OK, Judy and Mark Mullins of Broken Arrow, OK and Jay and Rita Barnett of Sand Springs, OK.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Barnett; step-dad, Dale Sneed; grandparents, John and Betty Barnett, Joe and Lena Osborne, and Herman and Geneva Welch.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home and Elara Caring Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our loved one.
