George Wesley Perry was born on August 13, 1937, in Emerson, Arkansas, to the late Claude and Lena Belle (Sewell) Perry.

George was raised in rural south Arkansas, where he spent his childhood picking cotton and helping with farm chores. He attended high school in Emerson, Arkansas, where he played basketball and developed a passion for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

After graduating from high school, George proudly enlisted in the United States Army and served his country while stationed in Korea. Upon returning home, he attended college for a time before beginning the next chapter of his life: marriage, raising a family, and building a career.

George moved often in his early career, eventually coming home to Arkansas and fulfilling his dream of owning his own business. He founded WestArk Manufacturing in Fort Smith in 1984, where he earned the respect and admiration of employees and customers through his hard work, generosity, and integrity.

One of the greatest blessings of George’s life was his marriage to his beloved wife, Gloria. Together they shared a life built on faith, devotion, laughter, and countless miles spent traveling and cheering on the Razorbacks. Although Gloria passed in 2002, George never stopped cherishing the life they shared.

When he wasn’t making memories with his grandchildren or watching basketball, George could often be found in his garden, on the water with a fishing pole in hand, or in the woods hunting.

George’s faith in the Lord was the foundation of his life. It shaped the way he loved his family and cared for those around him. If someone had a need and George knew about it, he would do everything he could to help.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Georgia Lynn Sanders (Tim); his daughter-in-law, Tammy Sue Woelber; and his stepson, Bradley Gerald Woebler (Stacy). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Casey Weaver (Adam), Damen Perry, Westin Perry, Brieanna Perry, Keaira Perry, Kiegan Perry, Ashley Meyers, Brittany Woebler, Brooklyn Woebler, and Cole Woebler; 13 cherished great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Kailyn, Laina, Orion, Liberty, Axle, Oden, Dicia, Olive, Arden, Cohen, Vivian, and Baelin; as well as other dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Perry; his son, Mitchel Patrick Higdon Perry; and his stepdaughter, Brenda Lee Woelber.
