Funeral Service for Gary N. Richards, 84, of Roland, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Gary was born on March 5, 1942, in Roland, Oklahoma, to Flossie Ethel (Price) Richards and William Herbert Richards. He passed away on September 5, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He married Janice Sue (Wilson) Richards in 1997 in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

Gary worked for Whirlpool in the paint department. In his free time, he enjoyed cheering on OU Football and singing karaoke. His faith was an important part of his life, and he loved attending church and spending time reading his Bible.

Survivors are his wife, Janice Richards of the home; one daughter, Tammy Edwards and Ken of Long Community, OK; two sons, Gary Lee Richards of Sallisaw, OK, and Troy Richards of Sallisaw, OK; one step-son, Brian Whisenhunt and Jennifer of Wister, OK; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Flossie and William Richards; one sister, Nancy Pyle; and three brothers, J.V. Richards, Orville Richards, and Bert Richards.

Active Pallbearers will be Gary Lee Richards, Troy Richards, Jonathan Richards, Shane Edwards, Dustin Edwards, and Christopher Edwards.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Whisenhunt, Kenny Pyle, and Ken Edwards.

Viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
