With family by her side, Fannie Mae Jeremiah, age 95, of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed January 15, 2026, in Greenwood, Arkansas. She passed from this life into eternal rest with her Heavenly Father. She will be remembered for her love, faith, and service to others, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
She was born March 24, 1930 in Lavaca, Arkansas, to Arel Ray and Lillie Mae (Anderson) Gipson. She lived in Muldrow for 70 years. She was a faithful member of Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church for more than 70 years, during which time she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was President of Willing Workers World and served with the Sequoyah County Election Board for almost 50 years. She worked for the Muldrow Nutrition Center for 3.5 years and was the Site Manager at Roland Nutrition for 6.5 years.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Fannie Mae found joy in serving others and sharing God's love through kindness, compassion, and generosity. She was devoted to her family and treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She was full of life and brought light and joy wherever she went. Her humor, strength, and selfless spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Above all, Fannie Mae lived a life rooted in love-love for God, love for her family and love for others.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Merri Dyer of Muldrow; stepson, Leroy Jeremiah and his wife, Paula, of Fort Smith; grandchildren Travis Dyer (Mickie), Kasha Black (Gunner), Casey Jeremiah (Kristin), Amanda Allen (Jamie); twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters Dorotha Raye Purkey of Greenwood and Linda Mae Carter and husband, Paul, of Greenwood; brothers Bill Gipson and wife, Linda, of Fort Smith and Cleave Gipson and wife, Libby, of Greenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jeremiah; her son's father, Eugene Dyer; son, Larry Dyer, infant daughter, Brenda Jean Dyer; grandsons, Bryan Dyer and Stuart Jeremiah; brother, Jay Gipson; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Chapel at Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home with burial at Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Muldrow. Viewing will on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 3:00-5:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be James Ray Gipson, Gary Gipson, Mike Purkey, Joseph Carter, James Carter, Alan Harrison, Mike Francis, and Daniel McDaniel. Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Carter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pink Bud Nursing Home and Heart of Hospice for their wonderful care, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
