Elton Wayne Rogers, age 96, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Oklahoma City. Born on August 21, 1929, in Scranton, Arkansas, Elton was the son of Bonnie M. (Spicer) and Buell Raymond Rogers.
Elton married Patricia Pauline "Pat" Rogers on December 4, 1952, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Together they shared a wonderful life until her passing on August 1, 2009. Elton was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Elton dedicated his professional life to serving as an accountant for Sallisaw Ford and as a purchasing agent for the City of Sallisaw. His contributions to his community and dedication to service will always be remembered.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Koscher and Bill of Oklahoma City, along with six grandchildren: Lyndsay, Chris, David, Zachary, Jessica, and Billy, as well as 17 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister, Nelda Jean Wright and Robert of Yukon, Oklahoma, along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Elton was preceded in death by his son, Doug Rogers; his wife; his parents; one grandson, Eric Koscher; and one great-grandson, Nathan Koscher.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
For those wishing to pay their respects, viewing will take place from 1 PM to 8 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, where the family will be present from 6 PM to 8 PM.
