She was married to Toy Gunter on January 18, 2018 in Akins, Oklahoma. She was a cashier at Diamond Express, an avid rock collector and loved her pets.

Survivors are three daughters, Dawn Montgomery of Sallisaw, OK, Shana Anderson of Breckenridge, MN, and Khila Hieronimus of Breckenridge, MN; five grandchildren, Addison Montgomery, Collin Garrett, Millie Cross, Hayley Nelson, and Nathan Weatherby; mother, Betty Peters of Byron, IL; three sisters, Bonnie Dobbs of Byron, IL, Elizabeth Ridens of Leaf River, IL, and Renee Cross of Sallisaw, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; first husband, Donald Montgomery; one nephew, Timothy Banister; and one son, Shane Allen Gunter.
