Don House

Funeral Service for Don House, age 73, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Drakestand Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Don House was born on July 15, 1952, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Edna Myrtle (Sittingdown) House and Samuel Lee House, Jr. He passed away on May 3, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A proud U.S. Army veteran and a former railroad fireman, Don devoted his life to his family, especially cherishing time spent with his grandchildren. He had a deep interest in history, conspiracy theories, and UFOs, and held a strong faith, having read the Bible cover to cover twice.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Brunk of Muldrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Skylor House of Marthaville, Louisiana, and Chris Stewart of Grove, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Hannah, River, Hollis, Henley, and Taylor; four sisters: Patricia Cassady, Linda Wheeland, Lena Mae Harrell, and Brenda Capehart and Mike, all of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenneth House and Agnes of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Pam Peterson, Lorretta Gamble, Fran Fargo, and Lilly House; and one brother, Thad House.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Capehart, Eric Peterson, River Brunk, Zachary Dans, Clayton Dyes, and Cameron Dyes.

Visitation will take place from noon until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

We remember Don House as a devoted family man, a dedicated veteran, and a person of deep convictions. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
