Devonte Dale Wofford

Devonte Dale Wofford was born on March 3, 1996, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and went home to his Heavenly Father on September 7, 2025, in Liberty, Oklahoma. He was a beloved father, brother, and friend, and the cherished son of Amy Wofford and Eddie Martinez of Roland, Oklahoma.

Devonte worked in construction and was a proud member of the 710 Boys, as well as a member of the Cherokee Nation. A 7th-generation Wofford, he grew up in Liberty, Oklahoma. He was a simple country boy at heart—known for his kind spirit, his wild and adventurous soul, and his unwavering faith. Devonte loved God above all else and lived each day to the fullest.

He is survived by his children, Raelynn, and XXavier; his grandmothers, Sherrye Wofford of Roland, Oklahoma, and Juana Martinez of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and his siblings, Jasmine and husband Jalen Coleman of Roland, Michael and wife Cass Martinez of Liberty, Selena Martinez of Roland, Kaitlyn Martinez of Roland, and Kainon Martinez of Roland. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Avery “Lucky” Wofford, Ignacio Martinez, and Terry Youngblood, as well as his aunt, Sherrye Wofford.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Visitation will be 1 - 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.

Devonte’s legacy is one of love, faith, and family. His unwavering trust in the Lord was an inspiration to all who knew him. As scripture reminds us: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7
