Delois "Loisie" June Woods

Our precious Delois "Loisie" June Woods passed away on May 22, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born November 6, 1941 in the Brushy community, north of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jess and Opal (Ball) Woods. She graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1960 where she was on the Chiefton Newspaper staff.

Delois was dearly loved by family, friends and all the kiddos she kept over the years. She was a blessing to everyone sho knew her. Her loving kindness was beyond compare and her generosity of her time was endless.

She dedicated her life to taking care of her grandmother, Minnie Ball and her mom and dad. She was part of the "village" who raised the many children of her family and friends. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. The children she kept were so very precious to her. Whether they were wanting a picnic, swinging session or lunch at McDonalds, she was willing to accomodate them.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon Edwards and Donnie of Owasso, OK; nieces, Rhonna Curren and Greg of Blanchard, OK, Jessica Fargo of Tulsa, OK, Sharonna Toliver and Trenton of Kellyville, OK, Kadence Connelly and Cale of Muldrow, OK and Remi Toliver of Kellyville, OK; nephews, Jamie Fargo and Debbie of Sallisaw, OK, Ethan Fargo of Yukon, OK, Garrett Fargo and Britton of Sallisaw, OK, Hunter Curren of Blanchard, OK, Warren Connelly of Muldrow, OK, River Toliver of Kellyville, OK, Clayton Fargo and Lincoln Fargo of Sallisaw, OK; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-great niece, Payton Connelly.

Funeral Service for Delois will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Apostolic Faith Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Active Pallbearers will be Jamie Fargo, Greg Curren, Donnie Edwards, Ethan Fargo, Garrett Fargo, Hunter Curren, Trenton Toliver, and Cale Connelly.

Viewing will be noon - 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 5 - 8 PM.
