Memorial Service for David Gene Morgan of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

David Gene Morgan, age 73, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was born January 9, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to William Henry and Melba Morgan and was a graduate of Muldrow High School, class of 1969. 

A life-long entrepreneur, he had many successful businesses over the years and was heavily involved in Oklahoma politics. A pillar of the community, he lived a life of integrity touching many lives, from years coaching little league baseball to serving as Mayor of Muldrow from 1992-1998. He was a family man and his biggest joy in life were his grandchildren. 

Survivors are wife, Phyllis Morgan of the home; one daughter, Charrel Lenaburg and Kendall of Catoosa, OK; three sons, William Morgan of Tahlequah, OK, Coy Morgan and Julianne of Plano, TX and Jordan Morgan of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren, Austin Lenaburg, Alexis Mclaughlin, Mike Lenaburg, Race Lenaburg, Michael Morgan, John Morgan, Patrick Morgan and George Morgan; four sisters, Barbara Ogdon of Muldrow, OK, Gloria Wildrick of Muldrow, OK, Gayla Hall of Muldrow, OK and Helen Redden of Muldrow, OK; four brothers, Jerry Morgan of Glenpool, OK, Wayne Morgan of Muldrow, OK, Steve Morgan of Muldrow, OK and Tracey Morgan of Sallisaw, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lucille Roye and Shirley Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any youth oriented group in his name.
