David Fry, 91, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on March 8, 1934, in Fort Smith, to Hascel Wynona (Spauling) Fry and Cecil Anthony Fry.
David shared a loving marriage with Shirley Fry, whom he wed on June 2, 1962, in Muldrow. Shirley preceded him in death on April 10, 2016. Throughout his life, David cultivated his passion for the land, tending to a substantial garden right up until his passing. His early years were filled with adventures as he showcased cattle and participated in rodeos. As a skilled horse trainer and veteran of the United States Army, David exemplified dedication and commitment in all aspects of his life.
He is survived by three grandsons: Lane Gerwitz and his wife, Alison, of Muldrow, OK, Jay Martin of Edmond, OK, and Cody Sanders of Muldrow, OK; along with several other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; one son, Jerry Fry; and two daughters, Toni Fry and Melissa Martin.
A memorial service will be held to honor David's life at 5:30 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Eastside Freewill Baptist Activity Center - 1302 South Main Street in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Milissa Branham and the many caregivers who provided support during this time.
David Fry will be remembered for his love of family and his dedication to his passions.
