He was married to Cynthia (Galaviz) Christenberry. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2018. He worked in janitorial and construction. He was a United States Navy Veteran.

Survivors are:

4 sons, Clevey Christenberry, Jr. of Washington, Nathaniel Christenberry of Keota, OK, John Christenberry of Keota, OK and Richard King of Fort Smith, AR;

4 step-daughters, Christy Dole, Jamie Dole, Jennifer Galaviz and Jessica Galaviz, all of Keota, OK;

and several grandchildren;

3 brothers, Eugene Christenberry, Mark Christenberry and Faron Christenberry;

1 sister, Pud Howard;

and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
