Cleonis Dean, Jr.

On December 17, 1986, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma God’s ultimate grace was given when Cleonis Dean, Sr and Patsy Roberts gave birth to a bubbly, God-fearing son, named Cleonis Dean, Jr.

At an early age, Junior accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and was Baptist. His purpose transcended throughout his life as a son, grandson, son, husband, father, friend, and kingdom solider! Junior attended Sallisaw Elementary and Middle School; he graduated from Central High School.

Junior enjoyed singing and playing sports, from baseball to football. In August 2005, he became a Langston Lion. Junior was active in campus organizations and community outreach projects with his church. In his leisure time, you’d find Junior watching the Saints play, fishing, sharing God’s truth, and/or spending time with family. He knew Grammy loved her some June Boom and she messed with him all the time.

On April 4, 2026 Junior departed this life. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, JC Roberts, his brother, Bobbie Foreman, and daughter, Zariah Dean.

Cleonis is survived by his beloved wife, Helenia Dean; three sons, Issiah, Joseph, and King of Oklahoma; mother, Patsy Roberts (Tommy Gibbs) of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; his father, Cleonis Dean, Sr of Rayville, Louisiana; Grandmother, Minerva Roberts of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; siblings, Larry Williams of Rayville, Louisiana, Dustin Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robbie Foreman of Vian, Oklahoma and Jackelia Sanders of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
