He was the firstborn child born on June 25, 1961 in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Joseph Curly Roberts and Minerva Marie (Green) Roberts. He fought the good fight until our Heavenly Father called him home on April 3, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Charles attended Sallisaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Class 1979. He worked at Cititrends and attended Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. He was baptized at a young age and started his ministry at the age of 33 years old.
Charles was a family man, he never met a stranger. He was very funny and very loud, you knew when he was around. The three most important things to Charles were: God 1st, Family 2nd, and the Pittsburgh Steelers 3rd. He and his wife, Angie, loved to travel, try restaurants recommended by Diners, Drive Ins & Dives, and spending time with family and friends. He was the "King of the Grill." He loved cooking and experiencing foods from other cultures. But most of all, he loved serving the Lord. Charles attended Greater New Bethel Baptist Church as an Apostle, Adult Sunday School teacher, and Men's Bible Study teacher. He was a husband, father (Padre), papa, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. Charles biggest accomplishment was leading others to Christ, he visited many hospitals, homes, families, weddings and funerals, wherever you needed him, he was there. He was a true servant of Jesus Christ. He did not sugarcoat God's word, he might hurt your feelings, but he still loved you. He wasn't ashamed of sharing the gospel with anyone. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.
Charles united in holy matrimony with Angelic Roberts on March 12, 2016, together they have six children: Julia Kilpatrick of Fort Smith, AR, Josh and Kieosha Roberts of North Richland Hills, TX, Isaiah Scott of Duncanville, TX, Lyric and Russell Stillwell of Sallisaw, OK, Kassandra Briggs of Sallisaw, OK, and David Briggs, Jr. of Sallisaw, OK.
