She was born on April 20, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Dorothy June (Booker) Risley and Delbert Risley and passed away on March 1, 2020 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was a former teacher at Brushy Schools and a social worker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and June Risley and sister, Deborah Palmer.
