Carolyn was born on July 6, 1952, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Margie (Green) Flynn and Hooley Flynn. She passed away on October 27, 2026, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. On August 24, 1968, she married Teddy Wayne Qualls in Stilwell, Oklahoma, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and family. Carolyn worked as a certified nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith.

Carolyn was a simple, God-fearing woman with a loving heart who found her greatest joy in caring for others and spending time with her family. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived her life and in the countless prayers she offered for her family, friends, and loved ones. Her caring heart extended even to the animals she encountered, as she would lovingly say a prayer for every cat that crossed her path. Carolyn loved attending church, playing the piano, singing, and working word searches, but nothing brought her more happiness than spending time playing with her beloved grandbabies. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she so freely shared will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Teddy Qualls of the home; one daughter, Carla Brown and David of Roland, OK; one son, Jason Qualls and Daisy of Muldrow, OK; eight grandchildren, Kara Cherry and Eric of Muldrow, OK, Joshua Brown and Tonya of Roland, OK, Hannah Lynch and Gunner of Roland, OK, Briana Qualls of Muldrow, OK, Tyler Qualls and Maranda of Indiana, Bryce Qualls and Kristina of Muldrow, OK, Cooper Qualls and Jamie of Muldrow, OK, and Fisher Qualls and Kelcey of Muldrow, OK; 16 great-grandchildren, Cambree, Ryker, Kingston, Nevaeh, Weston, AyLeigh, BryLeigh, Emmersyn, Hazel, Waylen, Wynden, Tatum, Bennett, Tyler, Jayden, and Kynleigh; two sisters, Shirley Bird of Muldrow, OK, and Nadine Snow of Westville, OK; one brother-in-law, Floyd "Juke" Kester of Bell, OK; a special family member, Shannon Shockey; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
