Carolyn Marie Mannon

Funeral Service for Carolyn Mannon, 83, of Gore, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Gore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Carolyn was born on March 4, 1943, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Erma Marie (Cobb) Redfearn and Henry John Gates. She passed away on October 17, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.

Carolyn was married to Jerry Mannon and was of the Baptist faith. She had a love for plants and flowers, which she carried into her career as a horticulturist. She dedicated 15 years to working at Honor Heights Park in Muskogee, where she was able to share her passion for gardening. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jerry Mannon; one daughter, Carin Davenport and husband Jimmy of Lavaca, AR; two sons, Kerry Mannon and wife Rachel of The Plains, VA, and Shane Mannon and wife Katrina of Gore, OK; seven grandchildren, Chase, Kyler, and Taylor Mannon, Breanna Hanham and husband Mason, Darin Davenport and wife Kimmie, Logan Mannon, and Layne Mannon; one great-grandchild, Henry Hanham, and one great-grandchild on the way, Baby Hanham; one sister, Gail Harris and husband Albert of Hulbert, OK; along with several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Gates; and one sister, Marilyn Perry.

Active Pallbearers will be Darin Davenport, Mason Hanham, Chase Mannon, Kyler Mannon, Logan Mannon, and Braeden Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Tabor, Albert Harris, Danny Walker, Roger Rolston, Brian Harris, James Gatannah, and Khrys Gates.

Viewing will be from Noon to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Gore, Oklahoma, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
