Funeral Service for Carol (Wilson) Jones, 88 of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on June 9, 1936 in Roland, Oklahoma to Ola Mae (Osborne) Wilson and H.W. Wilson Sr. and passed away on July 27, 2024 in Roland with her daughters by her side. She graduated from Roland High School in 1954, and married the love of her life, Jimmie S. Jones on March 23, 1956. They shared sixty-three wonderful years together before his passing on October 15, 2019. Carol was a member of First Baptist Church of Roland, Oklahoma and was retired from James River Dixie.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother. She loved her family dearly, and was dearly loved by her family. She enjoyed collecting and gifting "Precious Moments" figurines.
Besides the cherished time she spent with her family, one of her greatest joys came after speaking to Sam Butcher, the creator of "Precious Moments" about the death of her nephew. After hearing her story, Mr. Butcher created a collection of farm pieces called "Country Lane" in his memory.
Carol leaves behind two daughters, Vickie Terry and husband David, of Roland, Oklahoma, and Lisa Martin and husband Randy of Edmond, Oklahoma, four granddaughters, Rachel and CW Blood, Brittany and Todd Fisher, Sarah and Chase Buck, Emily and Cody Boyers, four great-grand children, Sylvia Shepard, Brett Buck, and Addison and Alaina Boyers. She also leaves behind, one sister, Ruby Metcalf and husband Darrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one brother Joe Wilson and wife Judy of Roland, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters Ellen Jones, Lucille Gage, Martha Trammell, and Wanda Cheek, and five brothers Frank Wilson, George Wilson, R.C. Wilson, Curtis Wilson, and H.W. Wilson.
Active Pallbearers will be C.W. Blood, Randy Martin, Troy Sanstra, Todd Fisher, Chase Buck and Cody Boyers.
Viewing will be noon - 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm.
