Byranna L. Wesson

Byranna L. Wesson, age 73, of Vian, Oklahoma, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Gore, Oklahoma. She was born on September 29, 1951, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Byron and Helen Henning.

A member of the Vian Baptist Church, Byranna had a fruitful career working at People, Inc. for 18 years, where she made lasting contributions in her community.

Byranna leaves behind a loving family that includes her three children: Katrina Scott of Booneville, AR, Cody Turley of Vian, OK, and Anthony Wesson of Carthage, TN; five grandchildren: Mariah McGee, Ryan McGee, and Brandon McGee and Kristen, all of Booneville, AR, and Autumn Wesson and Avery Wesson, both of Carthage, TN; four great-grandchildren: Soloman, Jace, Caleb, and Brandon III McGee, all of Booneville, AR; two brothers, Roger Henning of Vian, OK, and Stanley Dwight Henning of Leadville, CO; as well as several other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Barbara McGinn.

A funeral service will be held to honor Byranna’s life at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories Cemetery, North of Vian, Oklahoma on Hwy 82, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Viewing will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 1 PM to 5 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.

Active pallbearers include Brandon McGee, Ryan McGee, Cody Turley, Jerred Lee, Preston Remer, and Doug Bane. Honorary pallbearers are Stan Henning, Tyler Henning, Rhonda Gay, and Tina West.
