Bruce Phillip “Pat” Lane, age 71, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma was born April 11, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Ruth Valentine (Stressman) Lane Goin and Archie Lane, Pat answered the call to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military tenure, he applied his skills as a natural gas geologist, demonstrating the same steadfast commitment.
His final honors will be rendered with a graveside service scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the respectful care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He leaves behind a legacy through his family: daughter Holly Lane of Raiford, Florida; sons William Reeder and Tammy of Wiggins, Mississippi, and Kevin Lane and Kimberly of Greenwood, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also, his sister Brenda Lane of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister-in-law Connie Goins of Kentucky; alongside numerous relatives and friends who hold him in their thoughts.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother Jerry Goins, step-father Fred Goin, and his cherished dog, Summer.
Active pallbearers, standing with honor, will be JR Bowles, Eric Vinson, Gene Brown, Mike Lindsey, Austin Jones, and Steven Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers include James McGehee, Aaron Spencer, Trenton Wilson, and Glenn Glover.
Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw before procession to the cemetery.
We salute Bruce Phillip “Pat” Lane, whose steadfast service and loyalty have left a lasting imprint. Rest well, warrior. Mission complete.
