Bobby Lee Barger

Funeral service for Bobby Lee Barger, 84 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on November 29, 1938 in Badger Lee community, Oklahoma to Sadie (Welch) Barger and Belvie Barger and passed away on April 3, 2023 in Gore, Oklahoma. He was married to Earline (Sparks) Barger on June 22, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2019. Mr. Barger owned and operated Barger Electric and was an electrician for the Cherokee Nation for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Survivors are three daughters, Tracey Barger of Sallisaw, OK, Barbara Sparks and Geoffrey of Sallisaw, OK, and Jennifer Barger Johnson and Eric of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandsons and one granddaughter, Jacob Sparks and Megan McBride of Columbia, MO, John Sparks of Columbia, MO, Samuel Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, Olivia Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, Rylan Sparks of Ardmore, OK, and Colten Coachman of Ardmore, OK; one sister: Kay Lowrimore and husband, Rev. Monroe of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two sisters, Betty Ridgeway and Ellen Marty and three brothers, Billy George “Sie” Barger, Darrell Barger and Charles Barger.

Active Pallbearers will be Jacob Sparks, John Sparks, Samuel Johnson, Dewayne Barger, Jeff Holman and Preston Sparks.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Barger, Joel Barger, Dan Marty, Dean Marty, Mike Lowrimore and Larry Michael Sparks.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
