Betty Joyce Cooper

Graveside Service for Betty Joyce Cooper, 85 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on October 26, 1938 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Minnie (Worden) Lambert and William Lambert and passed away on March 8, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  She was married to Gary Cooper on May 14, 1955 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Mrs. Cooper operated her own cleaning service in Dallas, made drapes in Tulsa and worked for J.C. Penney, Gould Battery and Dixie Cup. She loved to garden, do garage sales, and play golf and basketball.

Survivors are husband, Gary of the home; one daughter, Kristi Hamilton of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Michael Dean Cooper of the home; three grandchildren, Danny Southerland of Fort Smith, AR, Cynthia Ulmer and Christopher Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Ulmer and Griffin Ulmer; one brother, Gary Lambert and Joyce of Oologah, OK; one sister-in-law, Clydean Bradford McLaughlin of Collinsville, OK; one brother-in-law, Ronald Joe Cooper and Lisa of Escanaba, MI; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vicki Southerland; two grandson, Kevin Hamilton and Michael Cooper Jr.; three sisters, Joann Charles, Peggy Brunson and Shirley Franklin; and one brother, Jim Lambert.

Viewing will be  10 am - 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 6-8 pm.
