Benny graduated in 1957 from Central High School. He attended Connors State College before later obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Northeastern State University. On September 2, 1961, he married the love of his life, Donna Carol Haddox, beginning a beautiful marriage built on devotion, faith, and family.

Benny also loved coaching youth basketball and football. He firmly believed, “If it was worth playing, then play to win.”
Benny enjoyed a full and spirited life outside the classroom. His hobbies included dirt track racing, pulling ponies, fighting chickens, and racing horses. He had a deep love for watching his children and grandchildren compete in their many endeavors. In recent years, he especially enjoyed talking about show goats with anyone who would listen. Noxie Show Goats and DC’s Juntiques were truly in his blood.

He is survived by his children: Clemo Haddox and wife Berneta of South Coffeyville, OK; Michael Haddox and wife Coleen of South Coffeyville, OK; and Alicia Lawrence and husband Mike of Noxie, OK.
He leaves behind a cherished legacy in his grandchildren: Lisbeth Edwards (Tyler) of Cherryvale, KS; Benjamin Haddox (Rachel) of South Coffeyville, OK; Michaela Lowe (Amos) of Childers, OK; Norma Robinson (Christian) of Lenapah, OK; Pierre Mansfield (Nicole) of Noxie, OK; and Falicia Mansfield of South Coffeyville, OK; as well as his beloved great-grandchildren, Bryson, Cooper, Addison, Adaline, Lila, Cheyenne, Everleigh, and Rowan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Haddox.
Benny’s love for his family was unwavering. His strength, determination, and servant’s heart will be remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, education, entrepreneurship, and deep family roots that will continue for generations to come.
