Barbara Sue (Morse) Real

Funeral Service for Barbara Sue (Morse) Real, 68, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Drakestand Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Barbara was born on June 5, 1958, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Juanita (Jackson) Morse Bryant and Eugene Morse, Sr. She passed away on August 31, 2026, in Vian, Oklahoma.

She married Doye Patrick "Pat" Real on June 1, 1979, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1997.

Barbara's heart for caring for others began at an early age. At 18, she served as a candy striper, beginning what would become a lifelong passion for nursing and helping others. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse. For 46 years, Barbara devoted herself to caring for children and their families at Sparks Regional Medical Center. Nursing was much more than a profession to her; it was truly her calling. She was a natural caregiver whose compassion and dedication touched countless lives throughout her career.

As much as Barbara loved caring for others, nothing brought her greater happiness than her family, especially her grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Bobbie" by her grandchildren, she treasured every opportunity to be with Patrick, Holden, and Annabelle. Being their Bobbie was one of the greatest joys of her life, and time spent with them meant more to her than anything else.

Barbara also enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, and cooking. Whether she was caring for a patient, preparing something for her family, tending her garden, or simply spending time with those she loved, Barbara had a giving and nurturing spirit that was evident throughout her life.

Survivors are one son, Joshua Real and Chelsea of Sallisaw, OK; three grandchildren, Patrick, Holden and Annabelle; five brothers, Johnny Johnson of Marysville, CA, Eugene Morse, Jr. of Vian, OK, David Morse of Norman, OK, Raymond Morse of Sallisaw, OK and James "Howie" Morse of Anchorage, AK; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doye Patrick "Pat" Real; her parents, Juanita (Jackson) Morse Bryant and Eugene Morse, Sr.; and three siblings, Virginia Morse, Patricia Lessley and Joan Hall.

Active Pallbearers will be Derrick Blount, Bryan Hamilton, Jason Morse, Brandon Lessley, Justin Lessley, Chris Morse and Joe Osborne.

Viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday and from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday.
