Barbara Ann (Yeager) Huff

Barbara Ann (Yeager) Huff, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on March 15, 1934, in Yakima, Washington, she was the beloved daughter of Emma (Fahey) Yeager and Ralph Yeager.

Barbara was united in marriage to James F. "Book" Huff on May 21, 1949, and together they built a loving family. James preceded her in death on October 21, 1995. Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Hospital and Catholic Charities. She was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Kathy Ruark and David of Sallisaw, OK; two sons, Mike Huff and Sharon of Sallisaw, OK and Pat Huff and Carole of Blue Mouse, OK; seven grandchildren, Monte Huff and Kim of Sallisaw, OK, Alicia Huff of Fort Smith, AR, Marty Huff and Samantha of Sallisaw, OK, Amie Holmes and John of Fresno, CA, James Ruark and Jennifer of Muldrow, OK, Matt Huff and Jennifer of Portland, OR and Cody Huff and Alexa of Pacific Grove, CA; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ray Huff; her husband; one granddaughter, Amiee Huff; one great-great-grandson, Baron Grant; her parents; three sisters, Geraldine Loomis, Myra Clark, and Donna Jennings; and one brother, Ralph Yeager.

A Funeral Mass to honor Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with a Rosary service preceding it at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery, under the care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Active Pallbearers include James Ruark, Marty Huff, Dean Pratt, Gary Pratt, Roger Sharp, and Roger Flute. Honorary Pallbearers are Ralph Pratt, Monte Huff, David Ruark, and Monroe Lowrimore.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 AM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.

Barbara Ann Huff will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
