Ava Denise Mosley

Ava Denise Mosley, cherished daughter, mother, sister and beloved friend passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 65 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Born on December 31, 1959 in Sallisaw Oklahoma, Ava was the daughter of Yvonne West Rankin and Eddie Mosley.

Ava was a special needs aide at Vian School. She had a soft spot for underprivileged and special needs Children. She was a member of Vian Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Mack Jackson.

She was very active in the community and had many friends. She never met a stranger and would call everyone "mookie".

She was a Muldrow High School graduate. She was on the varsity basketball team and loved her teachers, coaches and clsssmates.

She is survived by her mother, Yvonne West Rankin of Porum, OK; her son, Brandon Gene Mosley; four sisters, Peggy West of Sallisaw, OK, Angela Mosley of Fort Smith, AR, Yvette Mosley of Porum, OK, and Alexandria Mosley of Austin, TX; one brother, Andre Mosley of Oklahoma City, OK; two grandsons, Deason Mosley and Eedrick Johnson; and she is also remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends who will miss her deeply, including her furbaby and bestie, “TJ”.

Ava was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Mosley; grandfather, Columbus Mosley (Pete); her grandmother, Tressie West; grandfather, Callis Alexander West; and her great-grandmother, Maggie Vann.

Ava Mosley’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her and she will be missed for her kindness, laughter and unwavering love for her family.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Viewing will be Noon - 6 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
