Ann Looper, 79, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on September 20, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1946, in Seven Oaks, Oklahoma, to Ada Maudene Parsons Watts and Charley Dale Watts. Ann married Paul E. Looper on August 6, 1965, Akins, Oklahoma, and they shared a loving union for 53 years until his passing on December 3, 2018.
Ann dedicated her career to the District Attorney's office in the Child Support Enforcement Division. She had a zest for life, enjoying camping, fishing, and all things red. Family was central to her life, and she cherished attending her grandkids' events. As a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Sallisaw, Ann found joy in participating in church activities and coaching the youth basketball teams.
Ann is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Heather Bailey and Jarrett of Sallisaw, OK; Crystal Colburn and Lance of Checotah, OK; and Sarah Giansante and Junior of Hudson, MA. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Caden Creek Bailey, Kylan Andrew Bailey, Kiefer Quinn Bailey, Luigi Giansante, Charlie Colburn, Cade Colburn, Paige Colburn, and Blake Colburn and three great-grandchildren: Dexter, Edie, and Hollis Colburn; She also leaves behind her sister, Barbara Sue Hunt and husband James of Sallisaw, OK; her brother, Edward D. Watts and wife Sharon of Sallisaw, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Paul, her sister Alta Kay Parsons, and her brother Bobby Joe Watts.
A funeral service to honor Ann's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with burial to follow at Akins Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Viewing will be on Tuesday from 10 AM to 8 PM at the funeral home, where the family will greet guests from 6 to 7 PM.
Active pallbearers will include Caden Bailey, Kylan Bailey, Keifer Bailey, Jarrett Bailey, Lance Colburn, Brandon Shockey, and Christian Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers are James Hunt, Glendale Woody, David Woody, Olen Carson, Ronnie Martin, and the Iris Evans Sunday School Class.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Shawnda Lineberry and all the nurses at Allied Home Health for their compassionate care. Ann's loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
