Aneita Jane (Green) Israel, 87, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on October 7, 2026, in Vian, Oklahoma. Born on April 12, 1939, to Dorothy Mae (Russell) Green and Herbert Woodrow Green, Aneita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose legacy of love and faith touched everyone she met.
Aneita married the love of her life, Bob Israel, on January 21, 1961, in Muldrow. Together, they built a family grounded in love and unwavering support. Her career as an educator spanned across Derby, Kansas, Lonoke School, Fort Smith Public Schools, and ultimately Muldrow Public Schools, where she retired before continuing to touch lives at Fort Smith Adult Education. Her dedication to teaching shaped countless minds and hearts.
A breast cancer survivor, Aneita lived with grace and strength. She relished camping adventures, family trips to Branson, and plant shopping at Sutherlands. Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family; she embraced everyone with the same nurturing spirit.
Aneita was known for her impeccable style and her vibrant presence at basketball games, always cheering proudly for her grandchildren. Her faith remained steadfast, and Sunday dinners became a cherished tradition, where love and laughter filled her home.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; sons Jeff Israel of Fort Smith, AR, and Jason Israel and wife Krystina of Muldrow, OK; grandchildren Lexi Anderson and husband Robert of Roland, OK, Lani Oliver and husband Logan of Sallisaw, OK, Brody Israel of Muldrow, OK and Maci Passmore of Muldrow, OK; great-granddaughter Ivy Jane Anderson; and her sister, Betty Jean Pratt and husband Bob, of Muldrow, OK. Aneita’s extended family and friends also mourn her passing, but her spirit lives on through them all.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with burial following at Memory Garden Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Kaelin Pratt, Kale Brannon, Beau Brannon, Logan Oliver, Max Stump, and Robert Anderson, with honorary pallbearers Brody, Jeff, and Jason Israel. Viewing is scheduled for Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow from 1-8 PM, with the family present from 5-7 PM.

Aneita's life was a testament to love, resilience, and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and faith that will forever be remembered.
