Alan Ray Broyles

Alan Ray Broyles, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday September 4, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Alan was born on August 24, 1959, in California to Ray and Shirley (Rich) Broyles. He later grew up in Muldrow, Oklahoma, a place that remained an important part of his life. Alan was a skilled and hardworking fence builder who took pride in his work.

On March 24, 2001, Alan married his wife, Sharon Broyles, with whom he shared many years of love, family, and memories. He was also a proud dog dad to Max, who held a special place in his heart.

Alan found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, spending time with his family, and simply enjoying the company of those he loved. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

One of Alan's greatest gifts was his heart. He loved deeply and cared genuinely for the people around him. His family will forever be grateful for the love, laughter, memories, and countless ways he showed how much they meant to him.

Alan is survived by his wife, Sharon Broyles; his siblings, Sheila Anderson of Muldrow, Oklahoma; Neta Orr and her husband, James, of Van Buren, Arkansas; and Rita Bennett and her husband, Michael, of Mulberry, Arkansas.

He is also survived by his four stepdaughters, Jennifer Fokidis of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; April Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jamie Faulkenberry and her wife, Kandice, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and Erin Faulkenberry of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Payson Myher and River Myher of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Lauren Petit of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Easton Williams of Bentonville, Arkansas; and Ian Julian and Dax Julian of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Shirley Broyles, and his sisters, Debbie Cook, Darlene Broyles, and Lisa Broyles.

Alan's life was not measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the people he loved, the lives he touched, and the kindness he showed along the way. His willingness to help others, his love for his family, and his appreciation for life's simple pleasures will be remembered by all who knew him.

Alan will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
