Michael Wayne “Mike” Putman was born September 3, 1960 in Mena, Arkansas, the son of Jim Wayne Putman and Mary Elizabeth Robbins Putman. He married Pamela Marie Gray Putman on October 22, 1982 in Roland, Oklahoma. Mr. Putman was a Stock handler at Whirlpool and of the Pentecostal faith.
Those who were touched by Mike would say that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His kind words, loving personality, and occasional orneriness brought so much joy to our family.
Even through battling his illness, he gave us courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness in life. He was a spiritual leader who always pushed us to go deeper into our relationship with Christ. Mike passed away on May 6, 2011 in Van Buren, Arkansas at age 50. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
