Ray Jones was born September 12, 1925 in Redland Community, Oklahoma. The son of Jacob Peter Jones and Laura Alice Lowrance Jones. He married Beverly Ann Jordan Jones on June 25, 1944 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a former car salesman at Harmell Buick and Owner/Operator of Ray Jones Auto Sales. He was a longtime supporter of Arkansas Boys Ranch and
Ft. Smith Chamber of Commerce. Ray passed this life on March 7, 2007 in Roland, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
81 years, 5 months and 25 days.
Survivors are:
1 daughter: Joyce Ann Lee of Roland, Ok.;
1 son: Richard Ray Jones of Ft. Smith, Ark.;
3 grandchildren: Stacy Ann Groves of Poteau, Ok.,
Stephen Gene Lee of Coweta, Ok., and Westin Jones of Ft. Smith, Ark.;
6 great grandchildren;
1 sister: Molene Babe Hale of Tulsa, Ok.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers: Emmitt, Eudean, Johnny, and Buford Jones; 3 sisters: Flety Spence, Jennie Anglen, and
Dutch Jones. |
